the "How Good Are You at Christmas?" Game

With the Christmas season having been unceremoniously jammed into three weeks, people are trying to fit in as much Christmas as they can.  Because of that, you might be sick of holiday cheer already.

You might also enjoy going to the DMV.  Or going to the dentist.  Maybe you ARE a dentist,  I don't know.

But all jokes aside, even dentists love Christmas so there's no use in pretending that you don't.  There's also no use in pretending that you're not totally stressed.  I mean, you have a lot of shopping to do and some numnut scheduled "the last minute" a little too early this year.

But instead of taking out your frustration on the woman in front of you at Target, here's an alternative way to let off some steam:

If you want, get a friend to play with you.  And if not, a cup of hot chocolate will do too.

The nice thing about this game is that you probably play it all the time already.  You know when you're in a car full of people and a song you know comes on the radio?  That "I MUST NAME THIS SONG IMMEDIATELY SO EVERYONE KNOWS I KNOW THIS ONE" feeling?  This game is just that, only you can do it sitting at your desk.

For those of you who don't get that urge to prove your musical dominance, here's what is going to happen: I'm going to give you random lyrics from ten Christmas songs and you have to name the song.

1.  Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright

2. Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

3. Through the years we all will be together and
If the fates allow

4. For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The road is so long.

5. He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

6. Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum

7. Glorious now behold Him arise,
King and God and sacrifice,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

8. Ho ho the mistletoe
Hung where you can see

9. Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas Day

10. Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way

It wouldn't be a game if you didn't count how many you got right:

1. The Christmas Song
2. Jingle Bell Rock
3. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
4. Happy Christmas (The War is Over)
5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
6. The Little Drummer Boy
7. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
8. Holly Jolly Christmas
9. All I Want for Christmas is You
10. Rocking Around the Christmas Tree
