My Great Disappearing Act

Some of you may have picked up on my subtlety, but my life is slightly disordered at the moment.

Okay, that was a lie.  Things are nuts, and the subtle ship sailed a while ago.

I got a new job.  Specifically, the job I've been working toward for the past year and a half.  It's in Washington DC, near my family and friends, and more importantly, the Baltimore Ravens.  I'm leaving Chicago for good next Monday.

It's really great, except Derrick isn't coming.  He's going back to Florida.  You could say I'm handling it really well, just like you could say Guinea's totally not sweating the whole Ebola thing anymore.  Seriously guys, we've got this.
And because I wanted to do this whole life upheaval the right way, I'll be spending my week between jobs hiking through Portugal.

Anyway, back to the point: things are nuts.  And as much as I love this blog, I want to take a little break while I figure some stuff out.  I promise, it's not you, it's me.  I'm hoping that it'll only take a couple of weeks but with life upheavals, you just never know.

So with that, I suppose this is so long for now.  Seriously though, don't mind those guys in the yellow. Really, everything is totally under control.

Also, it turns out that finding someone to sublease your apartment sounds a lot easier than it is.  If anyone knows of someone looking for a sunny one bedroom in Lincoln Park, help a girl out.  I'll tell you where all the best brunch spots are.
