Your Barista

I'm Nicole, mastermind behind the blog.
Or something like that.

To make a long story short: I'm from Maryland, ran cross country and track in college, spent a year after I graduated working in a biochemistry research lab in South Florida, and am now a registered patent agent in Chicago.  Don't worry, it's as random as it sounds.

In my free time, I like to research Yelp for next Sunday's brunch, pray for Ray Rice's hip and thighs, and dabble in an occasional marathon.

This blog is about my life as a runner, an unsolicited food critic, and as a twenty something trying to figure herself out.  I blog so that others can read and relate, and hopefully feel less alone.

Just kidding; I blog so my mom knows I  haven't died yet.

If you want to more about my blog, I told a very long story about it once.  It was so long that I had to split it into two parts: Part 1 and Part 2.

For any other questions, I kindly revert you to my FAQ page.

As the great Fyodor Dostoevsky once said,

“I say let the world go to hell, but I should always have my tea.”
